This edition contains documents up through Dignitas personae (2008) in both original languages and English. I relied on the Denzinger-Schonmetzer 36th edition for years while waiting for this edition to come out, and I am overjoyed to see it arrive at last. His podcast is called, "Renewing Your Mind." Ligonier also publishes a monthly Bible study magazine called, "Tabletalk." Sproul, who is a Reformed Minister and leader of Ligonier Ministries in Florida. I heard of Denzinger by listening to R.C. ![]() When the historians reference the primary sources (at least the of the Early Christian Church and Roman Catholic Church), you are likely to be able to look them up in Denzinger! To really make it pop, have Denzinger next to you while reading "The Christian Tradition," by Jaroslav Pelikan, "2,000 Years of Christ's Power," by Nicholas Needham, "The History of the Christian Church," by Philip Schaff, etc. One should read it with a critical lexicon to make it pop. ![]() This edition is fantastic, as it contains the original language and the English side-by-side. If one reads about church history, then Denzinger is a fascinating way to explore the documents of theology from the Early Christian Church through the Medieval and Post-Reformation Roman Catholic Church.
